Teaching or training abroad
The Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission supports various types of mobility for higher education staff (in French). IHECS has recently made a strong commitment to encourage its teachers to benefit from these great opportunities during a short stay (2 to 5 days). The institution has also increased the number of colleagues from partner institutions who have come to observe or teach.
IHECS has also used the WBI (Wallonia-Brussels International) programmes to expand this type of exchange to countries that are not part of the Erasmus+ programme.
Erasmus+ exchanges for teachers and staff members cover three types of mobility lasting two days to two months:
- Teaching mobility: this involves teaching courses or leading conferences or workshops within one of the IHECS European partner institutions;
- Training or observation mobility: within the organisation of his or her choice, the teacher or staff member follows a programme approved in advance by management. This can involve actual training, or workshops for reflection and observation of good practice;
- The hosting of an expert from a European company who, at the invitation of a teacher, comes to share his or her experience in a course or workshop.
