Welcome to the land of the rising sun
The « School of International Liberal Arts » is the IHECS’s first Japanese partner and forms part of the Waseda University, one of the oldest universities in the Japanese archipelago.
Since 1882
Founded in 1882, it is today considered second in the ranking of Japan’s private universities. Located in the centre of Tokyo, its campus has more than 50,000 students among which 2,400 are foreigners. On the practical side: The university offers university accommodation at relatively accessible prices.
Lost in translation ? Or not
A rarity in that country, the Waseda offers several courses in English. Indeed, numerous courses are organised exclusively in this language, covering the subjects that are of particular interest to our students.
This agreement has been reached by the IHECS’s International Exchange Visits Department following the visit of Dr. Adrian Pinnington, Dean of the Waseda University’s School of International Liberal Arts and that of Dr. Detey, Associated Dean.
Why Waseda ?
Drawn up in 13 languages, the "Why Waseda" website shows the main features of the university, its campus and of the city of Tokyo, along with computer graphics, figures and highlights.
