An IHECS student becomes one of two new Belgian Red Reporters
The Belgian Football Union (URBSFA) named the two winners of the "Belgian Red Reporters" competition last Tuesday. In 2021, fans of the Red Devils and Red Flames will be able to count on contributions from Dutch-speaker Janne Michels and French-speaker Amine Serock, a 3rd year PR student.
These two young video reporters will report on all matches in 2021 from front-row seats. As the virtual twelfth man, Janne and Amine will be tasked with bolstering ties between fans and the Red Devils and Red Flames until the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
"I’m over the moon to have won this competition, which lasted two months and was really fun! I can’t wait to embark on this adventure after my exams. I’m really looking forward to entertaining all Red Devils and Red Flames fans and putting a smile on their faces with the videos I will be making. This is a dream job for me, because it combines my passions: football and the art of speaking (theatre, cinema, stand-up). Besides, I played football when I was younger, and then I realised that I wasn’t going to make any waves in that field, so I directed my attention to my second passion, the theatre."
Congratulations to Amine, and we look forward to following your future reports on our national teams!
"Belgian Red Reporters" competition
On 5th October, the Belgian Football Union (URBSFA) launched a talent hunt in order to appoint two reporters, one Dutch-speaking and one French-speaking, to follow matches and provide behind-the-scenes reports on our Red Devils and Red Flames.
Be sure to follow us on social networks where we will share some of their achievements!
