Focus on the photo team at the "Visa pour l'image" Festival
As part of their Erasmus programme, the IHECS professors pictured (Emmanuelle Byvoet, Patricia Bouteiller, Laetitia Paillé and Laurent Poma) visited this renowned festival and found five IHECSians on site. Among them was Paul Hanot, a Master's 2 student in news media who was able to benefit from the trip by immersing in the professional environment for a few days. Together they attended the exhibitions and conferences (especially on the subject of the status of female " photojournalists ") and discovered captivating reports produced by photojournalists from all over the world.

The developing bath for professors
The professors had the opportunity to return to the ever-evolving professional pool (outside of a purely academic context). This was done in such a way as to disseminate the area's new professional practices to their news media students who are increasingly encouraged to conduct photojournalism.
A spotlight on...
...Paul, who, for his part, was able to meet publishers and photographers to whom he has submitted his work on the topic of the immigrants in Calais. In this way he discussed his impressions with Olivier Jobard, also known for a photojournalism project he produced about an undocumented immigrant (Kingsley). And finally, last but not least : he landed an internship at a Parisian news agency (Myop).
The same " Visa pour l'image" 2016 ?
The professors obviously do not want to stop now and wish to continue the experience next year by offering students who have a portfolio to present at the festival the opportunity to participate. Although it is true that the professors themselves have the benefit of a solid background, it is nonetheless true that they do not always have the same perspective and uncompromising professional opinion that the specialists bring to bear on the work provided by the students.
In any case, look forward to the possibility of a 2016 edition and grab your cameras !
