Eight Journalism students attend the International Conference in Tunis
On Wednesday 16 March, Victor, Océane, Shirine, Nadia, Myriam, Florent, Quentin and Laura flew to Tunisia – Tunis, to be exact – to take part in the "Inter-School Newsroom" workshop.
Did you say "Inter-School Newsroom"?
This is the project led by Nordine Nabili, President of our Journalism Master programme, for the second edition of the Tunis International Journalism Conference.
The "Newsroom" brought together almost 40 students from five schools of journalism: IPSI Tunis, ISIC Rabat, EPJT Tours, UL Beyrouth and IHECS.
The aim was to bring this event to life through various journalistic exercises involving reporting, interviews, briefs and other reports published on the platforms of the participating schools.
To enable them to meet this challenge, the students were able to take advantage of a fully equipped space, the Newsroom and a radio studio, located in the heart of the Cité de la Culture!
To facilitate international exchanges and ensure technical and linguistic complementarity, the students had to work in pairs or threes.
All of the work produced during this workshop can now be viewed on the EPJT website.
We would like to express our gratitude to those organising the Journalism Conference, as well as our international Wallonia-Brussels partner, for allowing us to set up an international workshop and we would also like to thank the students from the other schools for this enriching exchange for our Journalism students!
At the same time, a delegation from IHECS also visited Tunis to start preparing for the 1st edition of the European Journalism Conference in Brussels. This delegation comprised Frédéric Moens, Jean-François Raskin, Nordine Nabili, Talheh Daryanavard, Sébastien Chaveriat and Morgane Pauwels.
