On Wednesday 16 March, Victor, Océane, Shirine, Nadia, Myriam, Florent, Quentin and Laura flew to Tunisia – Tunis, to be exact – to take part in the "Inter-School Newsroom" workshop.

This is the project led by Nordine Nabili, President of our Journalism Master programme, for the second edition of the Tunis International Journalism Conference.

Several recent studies, published by association des journalistes professionnels (AJP) [Association of Professional Journalists (APJ)] and Reporters sans frontières (RSF) [Reporters Without Borders] show the extent of sexist stereotypes in the processing of information. The Journalism department, in partnership with the journalists’ collective "Prenons la Une", organised a study day aimed at accelerating student awareness of gender inequalities within the media.

Les étudiants ont eu la chance de rencontrer de nombreuses pointures dans le milieu du cinéma. Qu’ils soient réalisateurs, acteurs ou encore producteurs, tous ont pris le temps de répondre aux questions des jeunes journalistes ihecsiens.

As part of the journalistic practice component of the Journalism programme, the first-year Masters students tried their hand at live practice by offering two pieces of content broadcast live on social networks. The programme consisted of a broadcast on YouTube dealing with the situation of students facing the health crisis and a Climathon on Twitch.
Following a brief discussion with members of the administration regarding the future of the institution, the Minister met with the students to answer their questions.
